What it means
紅艶 means “red glamour”. Like the Peach Blossom it is a star of attraction, but it is found from the Day Master itself and not from a branch group, so it is read as something that belongs to the person: a look, a voice, a way of holding attention one to one. Koreans describe it as allure that works at close range.
Old texts treated it as a warning about romantic entanglement. Today it is read as presence, and is often pointed out in the charts of actors, singers and models.
How to find it
Look up your Day Master. If that branch appears in any pillar, the pillar carries the Red Peach Blossom.
| Day Master | Red Peach Blossom |
|---|---|
| 甲 Gap, 乙 Eul | 午 O (Horse) |
| 丙 Byeong | 寅 In (Tiger) |
| 丁 Jeong | 未 Mi (Goat) |
| 戊 Mu, 己 Gi | 辰 Jin (Dragon) |
| 庚 Gyeong | 戌 Sul (Dog) |
| 辛 Sin | 酉 Yu (Rooster) |
| 壬 Im | 子 Ja (Rat) |
| 癸 Gye | 申 Sin (Monkey) |
Reading it
- On the day pillar: the allure is part of how you present yourself, and is strongest in close relationships.
- On the month or year pillar: it shows in public and in working life.
- On the hour pillar: it is read as appeal that deepens with age.
- Together with a Peach Blossom: attention from many and intensity with a few. It is read as a chart suited to the stage.
What to watch
The lasting caution is about boundaries. Strong personal appeal invites attachment, wanted or not, and romantic matters can take more of life than planned. As with any star, one sign does not decide a chart: readers look at the spouse palace and the ten gods before saying anything about relationships.
