The picture
Mu-Sul is Earth on Earth, high and dry. The Dog stores fire, which feeds the mountain from inside, so this pillar runs on conviction. It is steadfast, protective and solitary. Mu-Sul keeps its word and guards what it is given to guard. It finds change difficult. The metal in the Dog is Mu’s skill, kept in store. Some schools count Mu-Sul with the Kui Gang pillars for its uncompromising character.
What the pillar is made of
| Part | In Mu-Sul |
|---|---|
| Day Master | 戊 Mu, Yang Earth |
| Day branch | 戌 Sul, the Dog |
| Hidden stems | 辛 Sin: Hurting Officer丁 Jeong: Direct Resource戊 Mu: Friend (main) |
| Life stage | Grave 墓 |
| Void branches | 辰 Jin (Dragon), 巳 Sa (Snake) |
| Stars it carries | Canopy Star, Ganyeojidong |
The Day Master sits on its own element, in the same polarity. The seat is a root: a strong sense of self and a home life run on its own terms. The partner is read as an equal, sometimes as a rival.
These are the facts every Mu-Sul chart shares, whatever the other three pillars hold. They are taken from the same engine that calculates your chart.
