What it means

How it works in a chart
- Officer produces Resource: recognition from above becomes personal backing (官印相生).
- Resource turns Seven Killings into support, which is why it is called the chart’s protection.
- Resource controls Output. A lot of Resource means more thinking than doing, and fewer words.
- Wealth controls Resource. Chasing money at the cost of learning or integrity is the pattern 貪財壞印.
When there is too much
Too much support makes a Day Master passive. It is read as dependence, procrastination, living in ideas and waiting to be ready. The remedy is Output or Wealth: something to make and something to aim for.
When there is none
A chart without Resource is read as self-taught and self-made: less shelter early on, more reliance on experience than on credentials.
