The picture
Im-Jin is a great body of water held in its own reservoir. The Dragon is the storehouse of Water and also the Earth that dams it, so this pillar has both depth and containment. It is one of the four Kui Gang pillars. Im-Jin is intelligent and commanding, with large plans, and it moves between calm and flood.
What the pillar is made of
| Part | In Im-Jin |
|---|---|
| Day Master | 壬 Im, Yang Water |
| Day branch | 辰 Jin, the Dragon |
| Hidden stems | 乙 Eul: Hurting Officer癸 Gye: Rob Wealth戊 Mu: Seven Killings (main) |
| Life stage | Grave 墓 |
| Void branches | 午 O (Horse), 未 Mi (Goat) |
| Stars it carries | Canopy Star, Bokseong, Kui Gang, Seven Killings |
The Day Master sits on the element that controls it, in the same polarity. Pressure is built into the seat: this pillar is used to being tested and often has a strong-willed partner. Readers look for something in the chart that handles the pressure, an Eating God or a Resource.
These are the facts every Im-Jin chart shares, whatever the other three pillars hold. They are taken from the same engine that calculates your chart.
