What it means
劫財 means “seizing wealth”. It is the Day Master’s own element in the other polarity: for Gap (Yang Wood) it is 乙, for Eul (Yin Wood) it is 甲. The name comes from the control cycle. Rob Wealth directly attacks the Day Master’s Direct Wealth, the steady, earned kind of money. So tradition reads it as the person who competes for what you have: the rival, the partner who takes more than a share, the friend who borrows and forgets.
That is half the picture. Rob Wealth is also the most competitive, sociable and daring of the ten gods. It is the energy that enters a contest in order to win it.
Which stem is your Rob Wealth
A ten god is a relationship, so it depends on your Day Master. Find your Day Master on the left; the stem on the right is your Rob Wealth. A branch counts as Rob Wealth when its main hidden stem is that stem.
| Day Master | Its Rob Wealth |

When it works well
- Drive: competition sharpens you instead of discouraging you.
- Persuasion and reach: you gather people quickly and are comfortable asking for what you want.
- Support for a weak Day Master: like a Friend, it adds strength where the chart needs it.
What to watch
- Money that leaves through other people: lending, guarantees, joint ventures, generosity that is not returned.
- Risk appetite: speculation feels natural. A chart with Rob Wealth next to a Wealth character is advised to keep finances and friendships separate.
- All or nothing: the boldness that wins is the same boldness that overreaches.
An Officer character in the chart is the traditional remedy. Structure and accountability turn the rival into a disciplined competitor.
