The picture
Gyeong-Sul is metal in a stronghold. The Dog’s Earth produces Yang Metal, and the fire stored in the Dog tempers it. This is one of the four Kui Gang pillars. It is just, loyal and combative in a good cause. It holds a line and expects others to hold theirs. The earth beneath it is a mentor’s support, strict and old-fashioned, and Gyeong-Sul often has a teacher, a creed or a code that it serves. It also carries the Red Peach Blossom, a hard glamour that draws people to its certainty.
What the pillar is made of
| Part | In Gyeong-Sul |
|---|---|
| Day Master | 庚 Gyeong, Yang Metal |
| Day branch | 戌 Sul, the Dog |
| Hidden stems | 辛 Sin: Rob Wealth丁 Jeong: Direct Officer戊 Mu: Indirect Resource (main) |
| Life stage | Decline 衰 |
| Void branches | 寅 In (Tiger), 卯 Myo (Rabbit) |
| Stars it carries | Canopy Star, Kui Gang, Red Peach Blossom, Golden Carriage |
The Day Master sits on the element that produces it, in the same polarity. Support is there and comes in its own way: a private inner life, unusual interests, and a partner who is more mentor than companion.
These are the facts every Gyeong-Sul chart shares, whatever the other three pillars hold. They are taken from the same engine that calculates your chart.
